This Mangum DVD contains back issues of the Journal, the Bulletin, photos, indexes and icons and all of them are viewable using Adobe Acrobat Reader, or your default internet browser, which you are using to view this page. The DVD runs automatically when inserted into your computer’s DVD drive, provided you have not disabled your "Auto Insert Notification". You are OK if other DVDs run automatically when inserted into your DVD drive, and of course, the DVD can always be started manually. Your Adobe Acrobat software will load and show you the DVD Welcome page. You will be able to browse the entire DVD with simple mouse clicks. If you switch to the webpage version, you can view the files with your Internet Browser. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET, as all webpages reside on the DVD.

Formats

The DVD is dual format, both Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) and Internet webpage (.htm). Either format allows access to all parts of the DVD. The Adobe Acrobat version is the default version and it will bring up your Adobe Acrobat software, and run the opening page, when you insert the DVD in your DVD drive. You then have the option of switching to the Internet webpage version. You can always run the "Front.pdf" or "Front.htm" files manually to start the DVD. You will have to run "Front.htm" manually if you do not have Adobe Acrobat software on your computer.

The webpage version is the secondary format of the DVD. You only need your browser software, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer. Most other browsers should also work but some will have formatting problems. The browser version of the DVD is easier to navigate, but slightly less faithful to the original Microsoft Word versions of the Bulletins and Journals. Use whichever works best for you.

The Journals and Bulletins themselves are also available as Microsoft Word 97 (and higher version). Microsoft Word is the native format of the Journals, that is, they were created with Microsoft Word and those files were used to create the webpage and Acrobat versions. You need Microsoft Word 97 or higher version to read these files. The Bulletins and Journals in this format can be accessed while browsing the DVD from either the PDF or HTM DVD format version or they can be accessed manually.
